Solar panels are containing a series of cells. All these cells have 2 layers of semi-conductors: 1 positively charged and 1 negatively charged. When light shines on the semi-conductor, the electric field between these two layers causes electricity to flow, generating (dc) current.

An off-grid solar system is not connected to the electricity grid and requires battery storage. Off-grid solar systems must be designed correctly in order to generate enough power throughout the year and have the necessary battery capacity to meet the installed locations electrical energy requirements or demand.

a grid-tied solar system is one that is connected to the electrical power grid. The system is reliant on this grid to produce usable solar energy and funnel excess energy for net metering, clean energy credits, or later usage.

Load shedding continues each winter then there will be continued demand for grid-backup systems that can operate with no grid for prolonged periods of time. Adding a battery inverter or a hybrid inverter along with a battery makes it possible to combine the energy from the PV system with that from the stored battery to power at least the essential loads in the property. The size of the battery required depends on the rating of the essential loads to be driven from it at times of no solar power being available.

Form a list of all items that will be powered. Determine the starting wattage (energy needed to turn it on) and running wattage (energy needed to operate it) for each piece of equipment. Calculate your total power requirement by adding up these kilowatts.

  • Your total cost for purchase of any product will not include shipping and handling charges (please request for shipping if required)
  • No refunds will, however, be furnished on deposits or payments in the event of cancellation for specially ordered or manufactured goods.
  • You can expect an order to be processed within approximately two to five business days, provided the items are in stock and the payment has been verified.
  • Any goods supplied by the company shall be subject to the manufacturing company’s warranty;
  • The only entitlement you shall have in respect of those goods shall be to require S N Enterprises to apply such warranty against the manufacturer of those goods on your behalf.
  • The warranty shall immediately be rendered null and void in the event of any of the following:
  • Failure to use the products in accordance with instructions and specifications provided by the Manufacturer;
  • Should the product been subjected to physical damage, abuse, misuse, alteration, neglect, tampering, improper maintenance, or has been serviced, repaired, installed by persons not possessing the necessary qualifications required to do so;
  • The product is not returned with an invoice/verifiable method confirming proof of purchase.
